1 Hospitalized After Hanover Rowhome Fire

One person was hospitalized after an early morning fire tore through a rowhome attic in Hanover Borough on Monday, Nov. 4, officials said.

The fire broke out in the first block of South Penn Street, near Stock Street. Hanover Area Fire & Rescue crews arrived to find flames pouring from the attic, dispatchers said. Firefighters acted quickly to contain the blaze, while Hanover police secured the scene around 2:30 a.m.

One resident of the home was injured and taken to a nearby hospital in Hanover. The nature and extent of the injuries remain unknown at this time.

The American Red Cross has been called in to assist the affected residents. Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire, which remains undetermined.
